Checked out the new Video Game Art and Science Fiction Icons (and Nirvana: Bringing Punk to the Masses.) and the Experience Music Project/Science Fiction Museum.

Always love to stare at the Science Fiction Hall of Fame. Bizarre to see people my friends and I jammed with in the Nirvana section. Wanted more of the “ART” of the video games, like story boards, preliminary drawings, etc. Still very cool to see all the old consoles and games. Missing three of my favorites (probably pretty low on the ART scale): Rogue, Tetris and Lode Runner.

Then some great Thai food with some of my kids. Plan to be back with the rest of the kids in the next few months.

Please check out Holly Lisle’s Workshops, Fiction and How-To Writing Guides. Her fiction has enthralled me, especially the Arhel and Cadence Drake Series. Her How to Think Sideways Writer’s Survival Guide [HTTS] helped me write my NANOWRIMO novel. For a limited time (3 Days) you can get her HTTS Ultra with Bonuses for a discounted price. It’s well worth it without the discount. For a sample from Holly try herĀ 5-Minute Quick Fix: Get Past the Blinking Cursor. Her focus is on genre fiction, but the courses will work for anyone writing fiction. You won’t be sorry.

Write on,

Rob

Hey folks, I’m learning WordPress, so that I can have a regular, easy to maintain web presence that will not horribly impact my ability to do the above-listed jobs. Please visit www.desertedlands.com for information on my edgy young adult apocalyptic novel: All is Silence in the World. To be released August 2013.

If you are interested in my music, please visit iTunes, CD Baby or Bandcamp to purchase my first CD Some of the Parts. You can also hear me on Spotify.
